About the Event
This new workshop is for CAT therapists at any stage of their careers to take stock of their relationship with themselves as a therapist in a rapidly changing world. Small steps of guided and supported mapping and writing alone, in pairs and group discussion will help explore the interplay between personal and professional roles, supervision and therapy. Participants should go away with a portfolio of reflective mapping and writing. The workshop is led by Steve Potter who is a Cognitive Analytic Psychotherapist, teacher and supervisor and had been teaching the skills and ideas of mapping, writing and voicing to many teams and individuals in the UK and internationally for the past twenty years. For him the rich mix of CAT tools are to be judged by their ability to help make a therapeutic and conversational relationship that can enable and guide personal narratives of change and healing.
